AWSAD would like to share the news of our Executive Directress Maria Munir who has been selected as the winner of AWIB 2015 Woman of Excellence. The recognition was well deserved for the passion, commitment and hard work she shows every day for the empowerment of women. AWSAD would like to thank everybody for the support during the nomination and final event. After accepting the award Maria has promised to share the 100000 ETB prize among EWLA and AWSAD 50% each. Congratulations once again and thank you for making AWSAD proud!!!!!!!!!
AWSAD officially launched its 3rd safe house in adma town on September 3/2015 The new safe house is established with the financial support from Royal Denmark embassy through UN-women.The intake capacity of the safe house is 50 bed per month. The service will be provided to women and girls survivors of violence coming from the whole of oromiya region.
