Who We Are
Association for Women’s Sanctuary and Development /former Tsotawi Tekat Tekelakay Mahiber (TTTM)/ is an Ethiopian Resident Charity Association established to advance women's social and economic development and provide support for women and girls that faced physical and psychological violence. Professional Skill Development

The skill development program targets women with low income and survivors/victims of violence that are beneficiaries of the safe house. Women that are beneficiaries of the safe house, after rehabilitation, have to be economically self-sufficient so that they could be effectively reintegrated to the society.

The psychosocial support service incorporates survivor rehabilitation and reintegration services. Since January 2006, AWSAD has been working on providing rehabilitation services for survivors. The service included provision of temporary safe home, food, medication, counseling, basic literacy education and skill development training.

This component of the project aims at enhancing the capacity of the target community and government institutions such as primary schools, women affairs offices and police officers. Under the intervention; education support programs are being implemented in selected primary schools in Addis Ababa.
